I May Survive the Zombie Threat

Have you ever seen the movie "Tremors" with Kevin Bacon? One of my favorite lines from that movie is, "We plan ahead, so we don't have to do anything right now."

You'll remember how Mr. Keaton (Michael Gross) and Reba (Reba McEntire) have a veritable fortress for a home, stocked with a vast arsenal of weapons and copious amounts of food and water. They were instrumental in saving the town, because they were prepared for any extreme situation. I'm sure they didn’t originally set out to prepare for a massive, rattle sensitive, creature infestation, they wanted to defend themselves against the Red menace.

Even scarier, and less well known, are zombies; and unfortunately, I'm not very prepared for a Soviet invasion, or a giant “Dune” like killer worm thing, let alone an over-the-top zombie apocalypse. But, at least the odds are slightly in my favor.

I do plan to rent "Dawn of the Dead" and any other zombie flicks I can find. I'll even borough "The Ghost Breakers" from my mom, just to brush up.
